Überblick Nghe An ist die flächenmäßig größte Provinz Vietnams in der Region Nördliche Zentralküste, westlich an Laos und östlich an das Ostmeer grenzend.
Die Provinz ist der Geburtsort von Präsident Ho Chi Minh, und die historische Gedenkstätte Kim Lien zieht jährlich Millionen von Besuchern an.
Nghe An bietet ein vielfältiges Gelände von den hohen Pu-Mat-Bergen bis zu Küstenebenen; der Nationalpark Pu Mat ist als Weltbiosphärenreservat ausgewiesen.
Besonderheiten
Besonderheiten Das Land Nghe ist berühmt für seine Gelehrtentradition und den von der UNESCO anerkannten Vi-Dam-Volksgesang.
Wirtschaft
Die Wirtschaft entwickelt sich über Landwirtschaft, Forstwirtschaft, Fischerei, Lebensmittelverarbeitung, Zementproduktion und Tourismus.
Die Stadt Vinh ist das wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Zentrum der nördlichen Zentralregion.
